The Real Christmas Story

Road to Bethlehem is a wonder-filled walk-through story of the first Christmas when God sent His Son, Jesus, to be born to a young couple living in Nazareth. The story is told creatively through dramatised scenes in a way that captures the imagination of young and old, as our guests join the travellers making their way to Bethlehem to see the newborn king.

Come back in time, to the dusty roads and simple village life of Bethlehem. Meet the soldiers and walk among the people of that time. Experience the sights and smells, enter the drama, and witness the grace of God in giving His supreme gift to the world.

Road to Bethlehem has become our new Christmas Tradition. The kids love it and each year we take more of our friends
with us to see it – Gordon and Louise, Beachmere

Blown away. I’ve been to a lot of Christmas events over the years – this full body immersion walking through a guided tour of the scenes is breathtaking & truly memorable. Book in & bring everyone you can! – Catherine, Pine Rivers

Where Road to Bethelehem began

Road to Bethlehem began in 1995 in Melbourne when a church pastor had a dream to share the real story of Christmas with his community. Since then the Melbourne Road to Bethlehem has grown to host around 17,000 visitors each year. Since then similar events have started in various locations across Australia and New Zealand with the same vision to share the Real story of Christmas with people everywhere. Brisbane Road to Bethlehem began in 2012 with the vision and leadership of Wendy Gillespie, the leadership and support of John and Rowena Gamborg, and their dedicated team. For ther courage and inspiration, we are truly thankful.

Brisbane Road to Bethlehem, December 17-19, 2018

Brisbane Road to Bethlehem is organised completely by volunteers – around 300 in all – and is our free gift to the community. We are grateful for donations and support from visitors, the generosity of the many donors who believe in our cause, and for the support we receive from Watson Park, Northpine Christian College, and the Seventh-day Adventist Church in South Queensland. We are also immensely thankful to the people of the Seventh-day Adventist Churches across Brisbane for their faithful support in volunteering their time and energy in making this event possible.
